  • Due to sustained company growth, Peterson’s Welding and Machine Co. located in Green Bay, WI, is seeking technically skilled individuals experienced in programming, setting up, running the CNC machines and producing quality parts in a “Job Shop” based culture.  We are looking for self-motivated machinists with great skills and the determination to produce “perfect parts” while meeting the overall project/job and company goals.  If you are a proactive problem solver capable of performing the work and mentoring fellow team members in a CNC Machine Shop, we are looking for you.  If you can produce parts to print holding tight tolerances while working to our production schedule so we can meet project deadlines that meet our customer expectations, you are the kind of person we are looking for.  Knowledge of manufacturing processes, CNC machining, machine tooling and fixturing, programming, set-up, operation of CNC machines and preventive maintenance is required.  We need team members that we can count on to be at work when expected and that come to work every day with the goal of doing more and making us better so we can continue to grow and expand to meet our customer’s needs.

    Our ideal machinist will be able to read prints, program, set-up, produce parts, inspect parts and modify processes and programs to compensate for changes and challenges all while working with minimal supervision and will be capable of running several machines at once when the work allows.  The ability to help plan and manage the work to our production schedule and perform the manufacturing processes that support our Job Shop projects/work while meeting our excellent on-time delivery standards is critical.  We are looking for machinists capable of machining parts as required and verifying completed work meets the specifications, tolerances and quality standards we have become known for.  Exemplary attendance and the ability to work overtime when required is expected.  Attention to detail in your work is critical and our customers demand “perfection” delivered on-time.   

    Education and Experience requirements:

    • Technical degree/certificate or equivalent years of experience
    • 2-5+ years working in a machine shop and fabrication shop with increasing degree of responsibility
    • Strong mechanical and analytical aptitude including reading prints, performing the work and meeting strict quality standards

  • Due to sustained company growth, Peterson’s Welding and Machine Co. located in Green Bay, WI, is seeking a technically skilled individual experienced in production control and estimating to assist with estimating work and facilitating the flow of work through our CNC machine shop and fabrication shop in a “Job Shop” based culture.  If you are a proactive problem solver capable of estimating and helping manage the flow of work in a CNC Machine Shop and Fabricating Shop, you are the kind of person we are looking for.  We need you to help estimate the labor and material required then prepare a quote that can be presented to our customers.  Next we need you to help define the routings and schedule the work through our facility in a timely manner that meets project deadlines so we can meet customer expectations.  Knowledge of Job Boss Software, manufacturing processes, CNC machining, machine tooling and fixturing, fabrication of weldments and management of material is required.  We need a person that comes to work every day with the goal of doing more and making us better so we can continue to grow and expand to meet our customer’s needs.

    Skills and Abilities:

    • Strong organizational, time management, documentation and planning skills with the ability to multi-task
    • Proven experience with Job Boss or similar software  
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Proficient in MS Office products and knowledge of ERP software
    • Background in various machining methods, fabricating and manufacturing processes is a benefit

    Education and Experience requirements:

    • A Technical Degree/Certificate or Associate Degree in a mechanical field or equivalent
    • Strong mechanical and analytical aptitude including reading prints
    • A minimum of 2 years’ experience with Production Control processes, functions and Job Boss Software with CNC Machining, Laser/Water Jet Cutting and Fabricating Shop jobs and work
    • A minimum of 2 years’ experience with Estimating CNC Machine Shop, Laser/Water Jet Cutting and Fabricating Shop jobs and work

    Our ideal fabricator will be able to read prints, set-up, fixture, weld, fabricate assemblies, inspect parts/weldments and modify processes and procedures to compensate for changes and challenges all while working with minimal supervision.  The ability to help plan and manage the work to our production schedule and perform the manufacturing processes that support our Job Shop projects/work while meeting our excellent on-time delivery standards is critical.  We are looking for fabricators capable of welding and producing parts/weldments as required and verifying completed work meets the specifications, tolerances and quality standards we have become known for.  Exemplary attendance and the ability to work overtime when required is expected.  Attention to detail in your work is critical and our customers demand “perfection” delivered on-time.
